Dr Lucy: Understanding ADHD
Funded & Free To Attend
Service Description
Understanding ADHD with Dr Lucy If you're starting to explore whether your child may be ADHD, you might have lots of questions. ADHD is about much more than attention and hyperactivity! This session aims to help parents understand the differences in attention, activity levels, impulsivity and executive functioning that we see in ADHD children. We will look at how these can affect everyday life at home and school, as well as helping you to feel confident in supporting your child’s individual strengths and needs. The talk will be followed by a parent and carer Q&A, providing an opportunity to ask questions and receive general guidance. Children are welcome to attend and use the play facilities during the session, or parents and carers may attend without their child. Children remain the responsibility of their accompanying adult throughout. Your child does not need to have an ADHD diagnosis or be undergoing an assessment for you to attend. ### About Dr Lucy Dr Lucy is a Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience working in mental health and neurodivergence.
